Area 3H Rotary New Year outreach in Sitio T'nuos, Lake Sebu
Five Area 3H clubs held an outreach in Sitio T'nuos, Brgy. Takunel, Lake Sebu on June 30, 2024. Medical consultations and circumcisions served 84 residents and 50 children played games.
On June 30, 2024, the five Rotary clubs of Rotary International District 3860 Area 3H held an Outreach Mission as their Rotary New Year celebration at Sitio T'nuos, Brgy. Takunel, high in Lake Sebu. The nearest health station is far from the sitio, which makes basic health care hard for residents and children to reach.
With help from the Provincial Governor's Office of South Cotabato, the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital OR staff, Allah Valley Medical Specialists Center, Inc. and Armann Pharma and Medical Depot, the team held medical consultations and circumcision operations at the same time. A total of 84 residents, adults and children, were served, while 50 other children played games with Rotaractors and Rotarians.
The team left new electric fans and school kits for the children to use in the coming school year.
As the group left, the children saw them off while the rain began to fall. The ride home was hard and the volunteers got wet. The club ended its account by asking whether enough has been done for children.
