Medical and surgical mission closes the club's five years in Punta Barrio
The club held a Medical and Surgical Mission at Punta Barrio as its closing celebration for a community it had worked with for five years.
On May 24, 2025, as part of its closing celebration at Punta Barrio, the Rotary Club of Koronadal held a Medical and Surgical Mission. The club called it a final gesture of care for a community it had walked with for the past five years.
The outreach was made possible by Notre Dame of Marbel Batch 2000, Armann Pharma and Medical Depot, St. Alexius College, Dr. Arturo P. Pingoy Medical Center, South Cotabato Provincial Hospital and the Rotary Club of Koronadal.
The mission included a circumcision drive for children, medical consultations for adults and children, a Children's Class, a Women's Health Class led by OB-GYN specialists and a Men's Health Class led by a urologist. All patients received free medicines, and everyone got an ice cream treat.
The club said that while it is turning over responsibilities, its message stays the same, that health is a right and community empowerment is the way forward. It thanked its partners, volunteers and the people of Punta Barrio.
