Special Needs Awareness Month celebration at St. Alexius College
On January 31, 2025, the club and St. Alexius College held a Special Needs Awareness Month celebration with a seminar for 100+ participants and a talent showcase by 66 students.
St. Alexius College and the Rotary Club of Koronadal have been partners for 8 years. On January 31, 2025, they gathered for the Special Needs Awareness Month celebration at the St. Alexius College AVR, as advocates for neurodivergent children and for inclusion.
The event was held under the theme "Promoting Inclusion: Celebrating Abilities and Advocating Access." It featured a seminar by Dr. Sheryll Singson attended by more than 100 participants, including parents, caregivers and students.
The seminar was followed by a talent showcase by 66 students.
The club said the event reflects its work to empower children and advocate for fair access to support.
